Yury Revich is 21 years old, and is one of the most expressive Russian violinists of his generation. His performances include prestigious venues in Europe, the Middle East, North America, North Africa, and Asia. He caused a sensation with performances at Carnegie Hall, Musikverein Vienna, Zurich Tonhalle, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow, Munich Gasteig, Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris, Glenn Could Studio Toronto Kolarac Belgrad etc. This season includes debuts in Teatro alla Scala in Milano with Orchestra La Verdi,Zurich Tonhalle with Nord´-West Deutsche Philarmonie, tours in Mexico, USA and Europe. Performances at international music festivals include the Verbier Festival, Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad Festival, Radio France Festival in Montpellier, Vladimir Spivakov’s Festival in Colmar, France, the Rostropovich Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan, Rome Chamber Music Festival, Liana Isakadze’s Festival in Batumy, Eilat Festival in Israel, Beethoven Festival in Vienna, and many others. He tours with the Nord-West Deutsche Philarmonie, Svetlanov Russian State Symphony, Amadeus Chamber Orchestra, I Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra, Zagreb Soloists, Bucharest Philharmonic, Russian National Orchestra with Pletnev, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra with Simonov, Moscow Soloists with Bashmet, Svetlanov State Symphony Orchestra, Georgian-German Chamber Orchestra with Isakadze, Morocco Royal Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra Kremlin, Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra, Finish Youth Symphony “Ristavesi”, with them he performed Paganini Concerto no.2 at the age of 12. In 2012 he released his debut album “Russian Soul”. In 2013 next two albums are released under the Sony Classical label, performing A.Romberg Violin concerto and Violin Solo Sonatas. Yury is the prizewinner of International Violin and Chamber Music Competitions. He is Ambassador of Beethoven Center Vienna and International Amadeus School Vienna, he is a scholarship holder of Rostropovich Foundation. He is a holder of the “Christmas Star” National Prize by Russian Patriarch, and the “Bernsteingeige” Young Musician Award of Beethoven Center Vienna. Yury is medal holder “For the generous deeds for the glory of the Motherland.” He studied with G.Turchaninova, V.Pikayzen, V.Vorona, P.Vernikov and his father A.Revich. As chamber musician he played with Liana Isakadze, Daniil Trifonov, Lily Maisky, Boris Brovtsyn, DenisKozhuckhin, Evgeny Tonkha, Nina Kogan, Richard Dubugnon, Alissa Margulis, Eniko Magyar, Jakob Koranyi and others. INSTRUMENTS: In 2008 the French master Alan Karbonar crafted a violin especially for Yury. He is also under the invitation of the Stradivari Society and has performed on violins by Guarneri del Gesu “ Ex-Max Rostal” and Stradivari“Duke Alba”. He has also performed on the legendary Guarneri “the King”. He proudly plays on a Balestrieri 1783 given to him by Goh Family Foundation of Singapore.

Serafim Smigelskiy has established himself as one of today’s most promising young cellists. He appeared as soloist with the Juilliard School Symphony Orchestra, Kansas City Philharmonic Orchestra, Jupiter Chamber Players, Argento Chamber Ensemble, ECCE, ArsViva Strings Orchestra, Axiom contemporary music ensemble, and Quartet Accorda. This year Serafim was appointed as artistic director at ECCE (East Coast Contemporary Ensemble): New York/Boston-based chamber ensemble specializing on contemporary classical music. Serafim is currently on cello faculty at Brooklyn College (New York), Great Neck Music Conservatory, Illinois Chamber Music Festival and Wesleyan University Cello Festival. Inspired by contemporary art, Serafim performs a wide repertoire of modern music and collaborates with ensembles of new music. Working directly with such composers as Magnus Lindberg, Steve Reich, and Mathias Pintscher led to performances of their music at such venues as Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall and Stern Auditorium Perelman Stage), Alice Tully Hall, Peter Jay Sharp Theater, Lincoln Center, Harvard University’s Radcliff Hall, Moscow Philharmonic Hall, and others. Smigelskiy also has a keen interest in historic performance practice and has studied Baroque cello with Bruno Cocset of the Jordi Savall ensemble. From 2003, he was a member of the New Holland Baroque Ensemble in St. Petersburg, which he joined for numerous concerts, radio broadcasts and tours. He has studied and collaborated with such prominent musicians as Mstislav Rostropovich, Natalia Gutman, Laurence Lesser, Colin Carr, Martin Storey, Richard Aaron, Eric Rosenblith, Ben Sayevich, Stanislav Ioudenitch,William Grant Naboré,Vassily Sinaisky, Julius Berger,Alban Gerhardt, Giya Kancheli,Alexey Liubimov, Daniel Muller Shott, Nicholas Kitchen, Peter Stump and many others. Born in 1985, in St. Petersburg, Russia, he began study of cello at the age of 6 with Galina Korolyóva. At 15, he entered the Rimsky-Korsakov College where he was a student of Konstantin Kucherov. During this period he received several awards from international competitions and foundations, including the First Prize of the Russian State’s Russian Music Competition, Third Prize in the International Mravinsky Cello Competition, and Second Prize in the Mussorgsky String Competition. In 2004 he entered the St. Petersburg State Conservatory, where he studied with Alexey Massarsky. During that period he studied with Alexander Richter of the Saint-Petersburg Philharmonic String Quartet and Josif Levinson of the Taneyev String Quartet. Smigelskiy also was a cellist with the eminent Rimsky-Korsakov String Quartet, chamber orchestra Divertissement and the St. Petersburg Soloists artist management organisation. Before moving to New York City in 2010, he received the Graduate Certificate at Park University International Center for Music where he was student of Martin Storey. Currently Serafim is pursuing his Master of Music in Cello Performance from The Juilliard School studying with Richard Aaron (cello) and Sylvia Rosenberg (chamber music). His other interests include photography, reading and traveling.

Natalya Ageyeva – piano

Natalya Ageyeva has dazzled audiences throughout the United States and internationally, including Italy, Austria, and Israel, as well as on tour in her native Russia. Her performances have also been broadcast several times locally on KING-FM in Seattle and televised in Moscow and Chicago. She has appeared at a broad range of venues, including the Governor’s Mansion in Olympia, Carnegie Hall in New York, Benaroya Hall in Seattle, and the Rachmaninoff Hall in Moscow. Her pianism prompted one reviewer to write “Immediately apparent was a tremendous technique at the command of a sharp musical intelligence and fingers of steel.” Her artistry has earned her awards and recognition around the world, including the Young Artist Competition in Moscow, Rotary Club Scholarship in Chicago, Brechemin Scholarship at the University of Washington, Solo Competition Award from the Ladies Musical Club of Seattle, the Green Lake Music Festival Competition in Wisconsin, Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition in New-York, and the Zinetti International Chamber Music Competition in Italy. An artist of great versatility, Ageyeva has performed as a recitalist, chamber musician, and soloist with orchestras internationally. She has also been an active participant in many music festivals, including the Seattle Chamber Music Society’s Summer Festival, Methow Valley Music Festival in Winthrop (WA), Mostly Nordic Chamber Music Series in Seattle, Second City Chamber Series in Tacoma (WA), First Sunday at the Commons Series in Bainbridge Island (WA), Seattle Symphony Chamber Music Series in Seattle (WA), Olympic Music Festival (WA), and Green Lake Music Festival (WI). Ageyeva began formal piano lessons at the age of thirteen when she was accepted by the prestigious Special Music School for Talented Children in Moscow, and graduated with honors in the Masters Program from the world-renowned Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, where she studied with Valeriy Kastelsky. While at the Moscow Conservatory, Ageyeva was offered extensive solo and orchestra appearances throughout the former Soviet Union. She completed her doctoral degree at the University of Washington with distinguished pianists Bela Siki and Robin McCabe. She has also worked with well-known pianists John O’Conner, Victor Merjanov, and Helene Grimaud, and collaborated with conductors Vladimir Vais, Alexander Rudin, Peter Erös, and Michael Miropolsky. Ageyeva previously taught at Moscow Conservatory and University of Washington, and has adjudicated piano competitions in Chicago, Seattle, and Vancouver BC. Ageyeva is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Russian Chamber Music Foundation of Seattle. It is starting its sixth successful year of bringing high-level chamber music to the Seattle area. In addition to growing the Foundation, she is currently focusing on her solo career and chamber music performances.
